Raptors betting favourites hosting Bucks in Game 6 - Sportsnet.ca

The Toronto Raptors will be looking to clinch a berth in the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history when they play host to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday in Game 6 of the Eastern Finals as 2.5-point favourites on the NBA odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Toronto demonstrated the value of their past playoff experience on Thursday in Game 5, rebounding from multiple double-digit deficits to record a 105-99 win, pushing Milwaukee to the brink of elimination ahead of Saturday night’s Bucks vs. Raptors betting matchup at Scotiabank Arena.

The Raptors trailed by as many as 14 points in the first quarter before cutting the lead to three points at halftime in Game 5. The team was also forced to overcome a 12-point deficit after the break to tally their first straight-up road win in four outings, while rewarding bettors who took the Raptors as lengthy 7.5-point underdogs.

With three straight victories over the Bucks, the Raptors have also turned the tables on the NBA series prices, where they are now set as favourites for the first time in the series, sporting -260 odds. And with SU wins in seven of their past eight home dates, including decisive victories over Milwaukee in Games 3 and 4 of this series, Toronto sits as a -135 favourite on the moneyline to close out the series with a victory on home court on Saturday.

Now faced with the prospect of elimination for the first time in this year’s playoffs, the Bucks have tumbled on the NBA odds. In addition to lagging as a +215 bet on the NBA series prices to rebound and clinch its first trip to the NBA Finals since 1974, Milwaukee now sits at the bottom of the NBA championship odds at sports betting sites at +600, back of the Raptors, who have move up to +400 second favourites since Thursday’s victory.

And while the Bucks own a perfect 8-0 series record in best-of-seven clashes where they jumped out to a 2-0 series lead, the team has been a dismal performer in recent conference finals appearances, falling to defeat in four straight.

Milwaukee is also winless SU in four straight playoff meetings with the Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. But with outright wins in their past three regular-season road dates with Toronto, all as betting underdogs, it may still be premature to count out the Bucks, who sport +115 odds to earn the win on Saturday and force a decisive Game 7 clash in Milwaukee on Monday night.
