Lexi Thompson, Ariya Jutanugarn, Sung Hyun Park

1:25 P.M. – 10th Tee 

Lexi Thompson is ready to give Canada another chance as she returns to the Great White North for her eighth appearance at the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open. Thompson has had mixed success in the championship with just one top 10 and four missed cuts, but she arrives at Magna Golf Club rested and refreshed after a two-week break following her T16 finish in her last start at the AIG Women’s British Open. She’ll be looking for the success her playing partners have found in Canada to rub off on her this week as she’ll play the opening rounds alongside 2016 champion Ariya Jutanugarn and 2017 champion Sung Hyun Park. Jutanugarn, who remains in search of her first win of the year, has played impressive golf over the last several weeks as she’s finished inside the top 11 in her last five starts. In addition to her victory in 2016, Jutanugarn has two more top 20s at the CP Women’s Open. Like Jutanugarn, Park is also trending towards another victory on Tour but has struggled to close out the week. She posted a top 10 finish in her last five starts but posted over-par final rounds four times in 2019.

Anna Nordqvist, Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr

1:37 P.M. – 10th Tee 

Anna Nordqvist returns to Canada looking to keep her success rolling as she’s finished inside the top 10 in her last two appearances. She arrives in Canada off a T13 finish at the Ladies Scottish Open. She will play the opening rounds alongside Paula Creamer and Cristie Kerr, who will each need a solid week in order to catch the attention of Solheim Cup captain Juli Inkster as both will likely need to rely on a Captain’s Pick in order to play for Team USA. Creamer and Kerr have struggled in recent weeks with missed cuts in their last two starts, but both have the ability to turn on their best golf in a team environment.

Brooke Henderson, Stacy Lewis, Minjee Lee

7:59 A.M. – 1st Tee

Defending champion Brooke Henderson has a lot to play for as she looks to successfully defend her title for the third time in her career. Henderson is already a two-time winner in 2019 and will have the fans on her side as she looks to record her 10th career victory on Sunday. Henderson will play alongside Stacy Lewis and Minjee Lee. Lewis is another player who will need a strong performance this week to catch Inkster’s attention in hopes of earning a Captain’s Pick to compete for Team USA. She’s coming off a missed cut in her last start at the AIG Women’s British Open but has three top 10s in 2019. For another year, Lee continues to play some of the most consistent golf on Tour as she’s recorded six top 10s in addition to her victory in Los Angeles.

Ally McDonald, Bronte Law, Suzann Pettersen

8:21 A.M. – 1st Tee 

Ally McDonald sits in a precarious position in the Solheim Cup point standings at No. 9, one spot outside the automatic qualifiers for Team USA. With a solid performance, depending on how Brittany Altomare performs this week in the No. 8 spot, she could play her way into an automatic qualifying spot on the team. Otherwise, she’ll hope to impress Inkster and earn one of two Captain’s Picks. McDonald will play alongside two members of Team Europe in Bronte Law and Suzann Pettersen, who both earned Captain’s Picks from Catriona Matthew. Law is making her third appearance at the CP Women’s Open where she finished T16 last year. Pettersen is making just her third start of 2019 and looking for some momentum heading into the Solheim Cup as she’s missed the cut in her first two starts of the year. But Pettersen has consistently played well in Canada where she has 10 career top 10s between the CP Women’s Open and the Manulife LPGA Classic, where she also won in 2015 for her last win on Tour.
