The first meteor shower since January will light up the sky tonight and early tomorrow morning.
The Lyrid meteor shower sometimes flashes nearly 100 meteors an hour.
Astronomy magazine says the view should be particularly good, since the almost-new moon won't wash out the meteor showers.
According to Space.com, peak viewing will be around 2:00 tomorrow morning when as many as 10-20 meteors or “shooting stars”per hour can be spotted in regions with clear skies and low light pollution.
