The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Godley off waivers, according to The Arizona Republic’s Nick Piecoro.
The 29-year-old right-hander played all five of his MLB seasons with the Diamondbacks before being designated for assignment on Aug. 4. Godley owns a 6.39 ERA and a 1.526 WHIP, along with a 3-5 record over 76 innings in 2019, mostly in relief.
He was a 10th-round pick out of the University of Tennessee with the Chicago Cubs in 2013.
Godley will be eligible for arbitration in the next off-season.
