Assiniboine Park Zoo will open a new exhibit featuring animatronic, life size dinosaurs in late May.
The Dinosaurs Uncovered exhibit will open on May 20 and run for a limited time at the zoo this summer.
According to Assiniboine Park Conservancy, the exhibit will include outdoor and indoor displays and 17 "life-size," animatronic dinosaurs along a forested trail in the northwest area of the park.
The display will also include museum-quality skeletons, fossils and artifacts, the conservancy said.
Dinosaurs Uncovered will showcase dinosaurs from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods including the tyrannosaurus rex, omeisaurus, the velociraptor and more recently discovered species such as the feathered dakotaraptor.
The exhibit is included in the price of regular zoo admission.
