A viral video shows lava samples are collected from an active volcano. The resurfaced footage, which was originally recorded on May 31, 2017, features Hawaiian Volcano Observatory geologist Tim Orr, collecting lava samples from an active breakout at the Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii. The lava is promptly placed into a bucket filled with water for chemical analysis, which can provide insights into the magma plumbing system, according to the US Geological Survey. Besides being one ofthe most active volcanoes in the world, Kilauea is also among the most dangerous volcanic masses. Video credit: USGS/HVO/Twitter
